  • Click on tools
  • Go to “security” and then click “delete cookies”

  • Select “delete history”
  • Select the option for cookies and then click “delete”

Internet Explorer 8

As an alternative, the new Private browsing ability for Internet Explorer 8 allows the user to browse the internet without leaving a trace of the sites visited (like breadcrumbs). For the user in Private mode:

  • Click on “security” in the toolbar
  • Select “browse in Private”
  • Exit Internet Explorer 8 and close all Explorer windows
  • Click on “start” “execute” and type inetcpl.cpl and click “accept”
  • Click “general”, and click “delete” below “browsing history” in the “internet properties” box
  • In the “browsing history” box, click on “delete cookies”
  • In the “eliminate cookies” box, click “yes”

Internet Explorer keeps cookies in different places depending on the version of the browser and the system version of Microsoft Windows. The best way to find and eliminate cookies is to close Internet Explorer and use a Windows Explorer and search for a folder called “cookies”.

  • Click on the “close” button.

  • In the upper part of the Firefox window, click the Firefox button and select “options”, then go to “Privacy Panel”.
  • In the “cookies” panel, click on “show cookies”
  • To eliminate a cookie, just click on the entry in the list and then click the delete cookie button.
  • To delete all the cookies, click on “remove all cookies”.
  • From the drop-down menu, click on the sub-category “preferences”
  • Chose the “security” tab
  • Click on the “see cookies” button.
  • Select the cookies that you want to delete from the list
  • Click the button “delete”

Safari 1.0 (MacOS X)

  • From the drop-down menu, click on the sub-category “preferences”
  • Chose the “security” tab
  • Click on the “show cookies” button
  • Select the cookies that you want to delete from the list
  • Click the button “delete”
